A vehicle fire on a busy local highway caused some delays to traffic Sunday morning.
A fire in a white car on U.S. Highway 15-501 near Smith Level Road in Chapel Hill caused some delays shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. The vehicle was in one of the highways lanes near the Exxon gas station at the intersection.
Chatham County Fire Department responders arrived on the scene before 10:45 a.m.

No cause of the fire has been shared with the public as of Sunday morning.
