One westbound lane of East Franklin Street is blocked as police investigate a potential gas leak.
Chapel Hill Fire tweeted at 3:44 p.m. on Monday that they were on the scene of East Franklin Street and Estes Drive investigating a fuel odor.
The public is advised to use caution and expect delays through the early evening hours.
As of 4:46 p.m. the westbound lane of Franklin Street remains closed as the fire departments assesses the Circle K convenience store on the corner.
The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality is enroute to help Chapel Hill fire assess the scene.
