**UPDATE** A portion of East Franklin Street has reopened after a power line fell on the road on Tuesday morning.

Chapel Hill motorists may experience delays or detours following a temporary closure of East Franklin Street on Tuesday morning.
The Chapel Hill Police Department shared a message with the community saying a fallen power line led to the town closing the stretch of East Franklin Street from Roosevelt Drive to Park Place Lane, which is near UNC’s campus.

According to the tweet, Duke Energy crews are preparing to repair the power lines. According to the energy company’s outage map, there are no reported power outages in the Chapel Hill area as of Tuesday morning.
