A gas leak has shut down South Graham Street in Chapel Hill between the intersections with West Franklin and West Cameron Streets. The Chapel Hill Fire Department first reported the leak at 10:46 a.m. on Friday morning, and a spokesperson for Dominion Energy – the gas supplier for the region – confirmed it shortly after.

Dominion reported the leak started from damage to a gas line caused by excavation activity unaffiliated with the company. The leak was reported to be secured at 11:05 a.m. Chapel Hill Fire reported the street was re-opened at 11:22 a.m.
