A portion of Estes Drive between Library Drive and Franklin Street is closed on Saturday due to a tree that fell onto power lines in the area.
Chapel Hill Police alerted the community of the incident at 10:15 a.m., saying the delay could be lengthy while the tree is removed and power restored. Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes.

In addition, the Chapel Hill Public Library is closed Saturday due to the power outages caused by the fallen tree.

Duke Energy’s outage map lists 127 customers without power on Saturday morning due to the fallen tree. Estimated time for power restoration is 2:30 p.m.
