UPDATE: Chapel Hill Police said the NC Highway 54 bypass was fully reopened at 2:49 p.m. on Wednesday.
Local authorities briefly closed three lanes of the Highway 54 bypass between Chapel Hill and Carrboro on Wednesday afternoon due to a two-vehicle crash.
The Chapel Hill Police Department first received a report of a crash at 1:47 p.m. and alerted community members to the incident shortly after, saying the two westbound lanes and one eastbound of NC 54 would be closed for responding emergency services and debris clean-up. According to traffic maps, the crash happened near the entrances to the Laurel Ridge Apartments, Chase Park Apartments, and Kingswood Apartments complexes.
No injuries were reported from the crash, according to police.
Update: One westbound lane of NC 54 just reopened. Both eastbound lanes are open again. There are no reports of injuries.

Chapel Hill Police said at 2:03 p.m. that one westbound lane had reopened, while both eastbound lanes were back to normal traffic patterns.
