A motor vehicle accident on Fordham Boulevard in Chapel Hill left some motorists briefly using a detour Wednesday morning.
A spokesperson for the Town of Chapel Hill said a four-vehicle accident near Europa Drive closed a northbound section of the thoroughfare for a period on Wednesday. WRAL reported a box truck and SUV collided, leading both vehicles to be towed and the road to close as crews worked to clean up debris and clear the scene.
Northbound traffic was diverted onto Ephesus Church Road as the vehicles were cleared from Fordham Boulevard. According to the town spokesperson, normal traffic patterns resumed shortly at 8 a.m.
