****UPDATE: Southbound lanes of Fordham Boulevard have reopened as of 3:36 p.m.****
A vehicle crash has caused Chapel Hill authorities to close the southbound lanes of Fordham Boulevard near Brandon Road – which is between Estes Drive and Raleigh Road – Monday afternoon.
Chapel Hill Fire crews were on the scene around 3:20 p.m. Monday and tweeted that the road was closed and asking motorist to avoid the area.

Chapel Hill emergency officials said three individuals were transported to the hospital after the crash for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Officials said one vehicle was struck from the side and emergency equipment was required to “extract” one individual from their vehicle.
